Ever wonder how a company can run 2,000 linux servers in concert to produce a set of custom services? At ITA, we're running hundreds of different applications to seamlessly offer 24x7 services to customers. Doing so involves traditional software development, but also requires a set of engineers who can marshall processes and data in a distributed Linux environment. We're looking for programmers who can understand a domain, are experts in leveraging a UNIX/Linux environment, and who have experience programming in a distributed setting. While doing so, you will play an integral role in designing and deploying products in a 24x7 environment. 
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain software to automate, analyze, and control many of the complex operational functions at ITA's data centers Work with different internal teams to understand product domains Train downstream operations staff, including the production of documentation, diagrams, and other visualization tools. Help to debug complex problems as they arise Help to maintain and grow a production environment in a way that makes the system increasingly maintainable 
Qualifications: 
Extensive programming experience in UNIX/Linux environment in python,
perl knowledge required, experience with Twisted Python a plusBachelor's degree in CS, or equivalent work experience Experience designing end-to-end solutions, including code, hardware, and networks Expert-level knowledge of the standard UNIX/Linux command-line toolkit: awk, sed, bash, tcpdump, lsof, etc. Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux architecture

Support 350+ Windows clients and 25+ Windows servers, providing 24x7 operational support 
Analyze current Windows architecture and recommend/design/implement improvements where applicable

Provide senior-level support for 450+ employees in a fast-paced software environment with 200+ servers in a Linux/UNIX, Mac, and Windows mixed environment. Log tickets and track their resolution, presenting communications as required

Qualifications: Required Technical Skills: 

Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience, with 5+ years of technical support experience 
Expert-level experience with Windows XP and Windows Server 2003/2008 operating systems including Active Directory and Group Policies 
Expert-level experience with enterprise-level desktop management software, such as Microsoft WSUS, SMS, SCCM, and Symantec End Point (or comparable technologies) 
Experience designing and running a Windows infrastructure to support a growing business 
Competent and experienced with major hardware components, including memory configuration, RAID configuration, backup systems, storage technology, clustering and load balancing 
Proven development and/or scripting capabilities, including languages such as VB script, PowerShell, KiXtart 
Experience with database administration, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL

The Systems Operations Center (SOC) Shift Operation Manager will be expected to work well in a team-oriented environment.
