QA Engineer, Structured Web Search

We are looking for an enthusiastic QA Engineer to join our semantic web team! In particular, we are looking for someone who isp assionate about automated testing. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented group of software engineers to design and build creative automation solutions to test a new website that performs
information extraction, machine learning, automatic data transformation, and search..

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans for our web-based GUI and back-end data acquisition tools
• Bug discovery: find, isolate, and report on all kinds of bugs
• Bug lifecycle: monitor, retest and close bug cases, working closely with engineers

Qualifications:

• Experience with XML, JSON, RDF, or databases valuable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision

Special Knowledge/Skills Required:

• 3+ years QA experience with commercial hosted web applications
• Full understanding of QA concepts and methodology
• Experience with a formal bug-tracking system
• Familiarity with Java, Linux, and Javascript valuable
