Business Development Director - EMEA (Based in Europe)
The Director, Business Development – Europe, Middle East and Africa will be responsible for developing commercial relationships for ITA Software throughout EMEA and will report to the Vice President, Business Development – EMEA. The individual will be dedicated to building long-term, beneficial and profitable relationships – with actual and prospective customers, and others, – throughout their region.
Responsibilities:
Thought Leadership and Insights
• Devising and implementing strategies for successfully building the Company’s presence, market share and commercial success within EMEA.
• Collaborating with others to identify new uses of the Company’s technology, products, services and capabilities.
• Supporting the Marketing Analysis and Strategy team to provide meaningful insights and forecasts for EMEA.
• Building meaningful, trusted relationships with executives, decision makers and functional specialists throughout the Company’s base of customers, prospects and partners throughout EMEA, so as to guide, influence and enhance their assessment of the Company, its products and services.
Business and Commercial Development
• Developing the Company’s commercial efforts with existing, and potential, customers and partners throughout EMEA.
• Identifying and establishing contact with potential customers throughout EMEA.
• Working with actual and potential customers to better understand their requirements; preparing and delivering compelling presentations and proposals; and managing the interactions throughout the sales process.
• Deepening existing relationships with existing customers throughout EMEA so as to grow the “share of spend” attributable to the Company.
• Consulting with others, including the Marketing Analysis and Strategy team, to determine and recommend the structure and business terms for commercial proposals.
• Gaining consensus internally, specifically with the Company’s executive leadership and senior management teams, for [the Region’s] business development activities, and for specific business models, terms and proposals being presented.
• Negotiating and closing commercial agreements with new customers and with existing customers (for extensions, renewals, amendments or for the sale of additional products and services), while working in partnership with the Company’s legal team to ensure professional and regulatory compliance for all such agreements.
Team Development and Management
• To support the hiring, developing, motivating and evaluating a team of business development professionals to assist in achieving the Company’s targets for EMEA.
• To support the team of business development professionals throughout EMEA.
• To foster, with Business Development, the active cooperation of various departments and resources within the Company, to meet the needs of customers, prospects and partners throughout EMEA

• Proven abilities to manage self and others; to motivate and develop a multi-disciplinary team, potentially across multiple geographic locations.
• Demonstrated business development and organizational skills, with experience of growing profitable business opportunities, building deep and meaningful relationships at all levels of organizations; and managing conflicting objectives and deadlines across multiple time zones.
• Established interpersonal and communications skills, with a deep-rooted sense of personal integrity and overriding honesty.
• A self-starter, capable of operating remotely from the Company’s headquarters with minimal supervision.
